3.png Audience: School and District Administrators

With Regional Settings, Administrators can determine the Seesaw platform language, grade-level terminology, and regional content settings for all teachers, administrators and students. There is no change to language preferences for family members. Their platform language will still be determined by device preferences.

The default Regional settings are shown below. School and district administrators can make these changes.

District:

  • Language shown throughout Seesaw to teachers, admins, and students: Let Schools Decide
  • Names of education levels: Let Schools Decide
  • Regional Content shown in the Seesaw Library: Let Schools Decide

Org:

  • Language: Use Device Language
  • Region: Use IP Address

Customizing localization settings for an entire district

  1. To access Regional Settings, navigate to School Group Settings.
  2. Select Regional Settings.
  3. Select your localization preference from the dropdown for language settings and education level name preference

Allowing schools to customize their Regional Settings

Schools are able to select their Regional Settings if their Admin has enabled this option.

  1. To access Regional Settings, navigate to School Settings.
  2. Select Regional Settings.
  3. In Regional Settings, select your language preference education level name preference, and regional content from the dropdown menu.
  4. Tap Update Settings
