Choosing your rostering method

3.png Audience: Administrators with school and district subscriptions

Administrators with school and district subscriptions can set up their school's classes, teacher, and student accounts in bulk! You can create your school's classes by creating a CSV Roster Import for individual schools, or by using Clever, or ClassLink with your district. We recommend that most individual schools and smaller districts use CSV, especially if they need to roster quickly and have never used Clever or ClassLink before.

Availability: Only districts or other multi-school customers can use Clever or ClassLink. Individual schools need to use CSV Rostering.

Below are more details about the different options and which might work best for you.

CSV Rostering

If you are creating your classes via CSV, you will use our Roster Template to build a spreadsheet of data, import it to your school, and create your classes in bulk. It's much faster than creating accounts one by one. View the step-by-step instructions here.

Clever Rostering

If you're already using Clever at your school, you can use Clever to sync with Seesaw to create your classes, teacher, and student accounts in bulk.  Please view our Clever Rostering Success Plan here!

Only districts or other multi-school customers can use Clever. To roster as an individual school, check out our CSV rostering guide here.

ClassLink Rostering

If you're already using ClassLink at your school, you can use ClassLink to sync with Seesaw  to create your classes, teacher, and student accounts in bulk. Please view the ClassLink Rostering Success Plan here!

Only districts or other multi-school customers can use ClassLink. To roster as an individual school, check out our CSV rostering steps here.
