How do teachers edit or delete a message

Conversation owners can edit and remove messages. Any teacher or admin that is added explicitly by name to the recipients of an announcement thread automatically becomes an owner. Additionally, Admins have the ability to manage or audit the Seesaw Messages sent between users at their school. This includes the ability to view all conversations and announcements sent at the school, as well as remove messages that the administrator deems unnecessary or inappropriate. 

How to edit a message

In the event of a typo or mistake in a message, messages can be edited. Conversation type, name, and members can all be edited. 

  1. View the Message you want to edit.
  2. Tap the ... (or long press on mobile) in the bottom right corner of the message
  3. Select Edit Message
How to delete a message

Note: Conversation owners can remove messages within a thread. Entire conversation threads cannot be removed.

  1. View the Message you want to delete.
  2. Tap the [...] (or long press on mobile) in the bottom right corner of the message.
  3. Select Remove Message.
  4. Confirm that you would like to Remove Message. A confirmation will appear in the message indicating it has been removed.
