How to grade Activities

null  Audience: Teachers with Seesaw subscriptions

There are two ways to grade in Seesaw aligned to the way you assess your students. Teachers have the the ability to assign a numerical score (Overall Grade scored 0-100) to an activity as well as a star rating tied to a standard).

Teachers and co-teachers can enter or edit grades (which incorporate auto-graded formative assessment whenever possible). Grades become visible to students and families upon approval.

The Overall grade is displayed in the Gradebook in the Activities view.

How to grade Activities

Activities are auto-graded based on Formative Assessment scores whenever available. The auto-graded symbol will appear next to the Overall Grade when auto-grading has occurred.

Teachers can also add (if blank) or override (if not blank) a score in the Overall Grade field in the student post. Scoring is on a numerical score of 0-100.

Reviewing and Changing Overall Grade

Teachers can review work in the Activity 1-up View, and the Student Post 1-up View. From there, teachers can also modify Overall Grade.
