Audience: Seesaw Users
If you are missing features in Seesaw or experiencing glitches, you may need to update your app. Please find instructions for updating your device with our latest app versions below:
- On your iOS device, go to the App store to check for any available Seesaw app updates.
Restrictive Settings
- Error: Could not load Seesaw. appLoadFailedWebViewStatusDescription
- Workaround: Enable localhost
- Open iOS Settings app > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > App Store, Media, Web & Games > Web Content
- From here, please add the following as approved websites:
- localhost
- http://localhost:50002/index.html
- If you continue to have issues after following these steps, we also recommend checking into any restrictive settings you have on the device, or any web-content filtering you have enabled on your network. Sometimes, web filtering on the network will prevent our app from loading properly.
Lockdown Mode
- Error: Could not load Seesaw. Failed to recover after rendering error
- When in Lockdown Mode, users will be unable to upload to Seesaw. The green check and draft button will be greyed out.
- Workaround: Users can exclude certain apps from Lockdown Mode
- Open iOS Settings app > Privacy and Security > Lockdown Mode > Configure Web Browsing > Locate the Seesaw app and disable the toggle.
