Audience: Administrators with School and District subscriptions
District-wide standards allow Admins to choose which standard sets they want teachers in their district to use with Seesaw. Teachers use standards-aligned activities to monitor student progress. Teachers can easily search and filter standards by grade-level and subject area when browsing for activities, assign them to their class, and reviewing student work. Overview
Admins with school and district subscriptions can choose which standard sets and grading scales they want teachers to use. Settings get applied to all schools and classes in the district. Standards cannot be altered at the school level or class level. Supported state and national standards including the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.
How to select a Standards Set for your district or school
- If you are a District Admin, go to District Wide Settings in the District Dashboard, and select Standards and Grading. If you are a School Admin, go to School Settings > Standards and Grading Settings.
- Select your preferred Standard Sets from the dropdown.
- Additional sets can be selected by tapping +Add Standard Set. The first selected standard set will show as default selection for teachers when tagging and grading
- Optionally, Admins with Seesaw subscriptions can upload custom standards.
- Please note: If you cannot locate your standard set, please reach out to your Account Manager.
Select Grading Scale
Updating this setting will recalculate all prior grades for teachers from this school year. To minimize disruption, we do not recommend updating grading scales during the school year.
- If you are a District Admin, go to District Wide Settings in the District Dashboard, and select Standards and Grading. If you are a School Admin, go to School Settings > Standards and Grading Settings.
- Select a 4 Star Scale or 5 Star Scale rating model.
- Click Save Changes.
