Audience: School and District Administrators with Seesaw subscriptions
School and District Administrators can set up your classes, teacher, and student accounts in bulk with Wonde rostering. This is quicker and easier than creating accounts one at a time.
Availability: Wonde is available for both districts and single schools on paid subscriptions.
⚠️ We highly recommend creating NEW classes each year and archiving old ones instead of reusing the previous year's classes. Before you create any new classes for the upcoming school year, double-check that you have completed the steps in our End of Year Guide.
Wonde rostering instructions
Please note: If you are rostering midyear, we do not recommend using Wonde. Instead, please add existing teachers so their classes will not be interrupted, and use CSV imports to create any new classes.
Initial Setup in Wonde
Before you sync your Wonde data with Seesaw for the first time, you will need to request to connect with Seesaw in Wonde.
- Notify Seesaw by reaching out to Seesaw Support.
- Seesaw requests access to school data in Wonde.
- You will need to approve the request in Wonde. Should you need assistance approving the request, please reach out to Wonde Support.
- Once the request is approved, Wonde will work with you to ensure your data is ready to sync with Seesaw.
- Once your data has been audited by the Wonde team, Seesaw will reach out to confirm we have connected your dashboard with Wonde. Please note that this process can take up to a week to complete.
Sync Wonde data with Seesaw
Once your data is ready in Wonde, you will need to set your dynamic filters within Wonde. Please locate the attachment at the bottom of this page titled Seesaw - Wonde Approval and Filtering Guide for your region. These dynamic filters will allow you to only share the intended year groups with Seesaw.
Once you have completed your dynamic filters, log into Seesaw and perform a full sync to create Seesaw classes.
If you are a District customer:
- Log in as an administrator at app.seesaw.me.
- From your Seesaw District Dashboard, tap the Registration Sync tab.
- If your Nightly Sync is paused, tap Resume Nightly Sync.
- To initiate the sync, tap the down arrow on Run: Partial Sync > Run Manual Sync.
If you are a School customer:
- Log in as an administrator at app.seesaw.me.
- From your Seesaw School dashboard, tap the Registration Sync tab.
- If your Nightly Sync is paused, tap Resume Nightly Sync.
- To initiate the sync, tap the down arrow on Run: Partial Sync > Run Manual Sync.
Additional considerations
- Roster Sync identifies existing student accounts using any of the following identifiers: MIS ID, Secondary MIS ID, Tertiary MIS ID, Government ID, Wonde UPI, and UPN. For more information on which fields are used to match student data, please see the Using Wonde with Seesaw article.
- Within the Roster Sync settings, you can choose which identifier (MIS ID, Secondary MIS ID, Tertiary MIS ID, Government ID, UPN, or UPI) is entered into the Student ID field.
- If your students do not use email addresses in their Seesaw account or if family members' email addresses are listed in the students' records, you will want to make the student email address field optional. Wonde has created a guide to assist you in this process. You will find it at the bottom of the page listed as Seesaw - Student Email Read Toggle Instructions.
