Please note: School and district admins can control whether teachers have access to any AI-powered features on Seesaw via the AI Features section in Settings. By default, these features are enabled.
About Resource Converter
Generate a new Activity by uploading an existing resource (such as workbook pages from your core curriculum or a reading passage) to convert it into an interactive, multimedia-rich assignment that provides real-time grading and a more engaging experience for students. Take what you already use, but level it up significantly by bringing the power of Seesaw to it! Our built-in assessments and multi-modal tools are layered on top.
How I can to use Resource Converter
- Select Convert Resource.

Upload a file, or select a file from your connected Google Drive.
File formats include: PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC. Google Drive options include Google Slides, Google Docs, etc.
- Highlight any images, charts, graphs, or diagrams you want in your activity as images. AI will not capture images automatically.
- Tap Next.
- Select your preferred style and tap Generate Activity.
- Review text, questions, and correct answers indicated in green for accuracy. If needed, redo your Activity.
- Complete your Activity following our standard steps to add more to your Activity, add to your Library, and assign to your students.
- You're all set!
About AI Activity Generation
Seesaw’s AI Generate from Prompt/Topic tool takes any topic, learning goal, or standard and creates an interactive Seesaw activity with auto-graded assessments and multimedia tools.
You can generate three types of activities:
- Activity: 10 page activity with topic recap, matching and sorting pages, auto-graded formative assessment questions, open-ended multimedia reflection opportunities, an offline partner activity, and self-reflection poll.
- Quiz: 10 page quiz with a mix of multiple choice, true/false, short answer questions, and open-ended multimedia reflection questions.
- Reading Passage Activity: Fiction or non-fiction grade-leveled reading passage with Reading Fluency Assessment and reading comprehension questions.
How to use AI Activity Generation

Select the Topic or Prompt option.
- Select your grade from the dropdown.
- Provide a topic or prompt for the AI Activity Generator. Some examples of good prompts include:
- Create an activity for introducing fractions. Include formative assessments and multimodal tools.
- Create an activity on Animal Habitats based on ____ State Standards.
- Craft an activity on Informational Text.
- Tap Next.
- Select your preferred style and tap Generate Activity.
- Review text, questions, and correct answers indicated in green for accuracy. If needed, redo your Activity.
- Complete your Activity following our standard steps to add more to your Activity, add to your Library, and assign to your students.
- You're all set!
