Audience: Teachers with school or district subscriptions
Teachers can schedule Activities for future dates and times, as well as set due dates. Teachers can also schedule recurring activities.
- From an existing activity or from a new activity you have created, tap the Assign button.
- Tap Start Date.
- Select the date and time you would like to share the activity with your students.
- Tap the Save button to confirm the date and time.
- Tap Assign Now to schedule your activity for the chosen date and time.
Note: If students are logged in at the time the Activity is scheduled, they will need to refresh their page to see the new Activity in their student To-Do List. We recommend that students get into the habit of tapping their Activities tab each time they are in their Seesaw account. This will refresh their screen and show an up-to-date To-Do List.
Due dates allow teachers to indicate to students when they want an activity to be completed.
1. From an existing activity or from an activity you have just created, tap the Assign button.
2. Tap Due Date.
3. Select the date and time for the due date for the activity.
4. Teachers can choose to archive an activity automatically after the due date. This toggle is below the calendar where the due date is selected. When toggled on, students will no longer be able to respond to the activity.
5. Tap the Save button to confirm the date and time.
6. Tap Assign Now to schedule your due date for the selected date and time.
Teachers can schedule a daily, weekly, or monthly activity to recur throughout the school year. Teachers can set the start and end points. Additionally, teachers can make content edits to individual activities, remove individual events, or bulk-delete the entire scheduled series.
While assigning an Activity:
1. enter Start Date
2. enter Due Date
3. toggle Repeat Activity on
4. select how often you want the Activity to repeat (daily, weekly, or monthly. Activities can recur up to 30 times.
