Seesaw is committed to protecting pupil privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws around the world. In accordance with these laws, Seesaw operates under the direction & control of the school when handling pupil data.
For Families
If you are a parent or guardian and would like to request the deletion of your child’s Seesaw account, please contact your child’s school directly.
Due to our obligations under privacy regulations, Seesaw operates under the direct control of the schools we provide services to. Because the information in pupil accounts is considered educational records under applicable laws, Seesaw cannot delete pupil accounts based solely on a parent or guardian's request. Once the school submits a formal deletion request to us, we will promptly delete your child’s account in accordance with applicable law.
For Teachers
If you receive a deletion request from a family member or would like to request the deletion of a pupil’s account, please contact your school administrator, who should then submit a formal deletion request to Seesaw.
For School Administrators
If you are a school administrator and would like to request the deletion of a pupil account or any other data associated with your school:
- Submit a Help Ticket- Start by submitting a request here. Be sure to complete all required fields, marked with an asterisk (*).

Select the Appropriate Support Options-
- Under “What kind of support do you need?”, select “I want to exercise my privacy choices.”
- Under “Please choose your request type(s)”, select “Delete data.”
- Under “What type of device or browser are you using?”, you may select your device type or simply select “-” if you prefer not to share.
- Next Steps- You can expect an initial response within 3–5 business days, although we often respond sooner. As part of our privacy and security procedures, we may request additional information to verify your identity.
Once verification is complete and all necessary information has been provided, we will process your deletion request promptly and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
- Confirmation- You will receive a confirmation message once the deletion has been successfully completed.
