Audience: Teachers
Teachers can create Flexcards to provide greater customisation and variety in activities. Flexcards can include text, images, or a combination, with up to 40 sides! Teachers can choose from a library of pre-made Flexcards created by our Curriculum experts for common ELA and Maths use cases.
How to create an Activity with Flashcards
- Tap the green +Add button.
- Tap Create Activity.
- Select Create from Scratch.
- The Creative Canvas will appear.

Tap the Teacher Toolkit icon and select Flexcards.
- Choose from a gallery of Seesaw-made Flexcards or create your own.
- If you choose to create your own, select the Flexcard Type: Sequential or Random.

Add text, an image, a voice recording, or a combination to Sides. (Choose up to 40 sides.)
- Add your own images, or tap + Add Images to search the Image Library. The Image Library allows teachers to search for Seesaw-created and curated images directly within Seesaw while creating activities. Instead of leaving the platform to find visuals, teachers can quickly add images that support understanding and engagement, all from within the activity creation flow.
- Tap Add to add the Flexcard to the activity.
