How do teachers post to the class blog?

Once you have a blog enabled, you will see a globe icon beneath every item in the feed view. You can post an item to the blog by tapping on that small globe icon. Choose Publish to confirm.

How do students post to the class blog?

All items students post to the blog require teacher approval before they go live on the blog.

Once you have a blog enabled, you students will see a globe icon beneath every item in the feed view. Students can post an item to the blog by tapping on that small globe icon.

To Approve a Student Publish to Blog:

The item will then show up in the teacher’s item approval queue and teachers can approve the publish to blog request by choosing Approve (green check).

To Deny a Student Publish to Blog:

If a teacher wants to deny the publish to blog request, hit the globe icon again, choose Remove and the item will not be published to the blog once it is approved. Teachers must re-approve the item after removing the publish to blog request for the item to show back up in the student’s journal.

If you do not want students to be able to post to the blog, you can disable that feature in Manage Class > Blog.  

  1. Tap your profile icon
  2. Tap Manage Class
  3. Turn “Students can post to blog” OFF.
