Seesaw's AI-powered question assistant saves teachers time by allowing them to quickly spin up grade-level appropriate questions on any type of content allowing them to get the insights they need with just a few clicks. Teachers can edit questions once generated. Once created, questions are auto-graded.

Follow the below instructions to create questions using the Question Assistant.
- Tap on the green +Add button.
- Select Create Activity.
- Type in the Activity Name.
- Select Create from Scratch to create a fully custom assessment, or select Generate Quiz to use the “Find Questions Tool” to automatically generate editable formative assessment questions.
- Select your preferred question type.
- In the Search a topic box, enter keywords related to your topic.
- Question formats you can select are: Multiple Choice, True/False, Short Answer*, or Open Ended*. Tap Enter.
- Question Assistant will generate a list of 5 questions per topic search.
- Question responses can be edited if needed. You can modify the response by typing in its text box, or drag and drop the order of responses. Once done, tap the green Check.
- Tap the + Add button to add the question to either the current page or a new page. The questions are now available to be added to the activity you are creating.
- Questions can be edited or deleted by tapping on the three dots button [...].
- Tap Preview as Student to view the question as a student.
Please note: The Question Assistant only generates Short Answer and Open Ended questions for SI&I customers.
