Explore Libraries is an expanding resource of activities tailored to specific year groups and subjects, and includes the Seesaw Library, School & District Library, and Community Library.
Browse free ideas that are ready to assign to your students today – or adapt any Activity to suit your students' needs.
How do I find an Activity?
- Sign in to your Seesaw teacher account.
- Tap Explore Libraries. Select either the Seesaw Library, Community Library, or My School and District Library.
- Browse by standards and curriculum, year group, language, subject area, or trending topics, or search using keywords.
- Click on a collection of Activities or individual Activities to view more information, such as student-facing instructions, templates, and teacher notes.
- Tap the heart Save icon to save the activity to your personal My Library.
- Tap My Library to view all the Activities you have saved.
- Tap on the three dots [...] button to organise, modify, or remove activities from My Library.
How do I make my activity searchable by standard?
Add standards to the "Teacher Notes" field and then the activity will appear in search results.
How do I search by standard?
Search for the standard using quotation marks, "CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.3.NBT.A.2" to find any activities that teachers have added with this exact standard.

How do I search by language?
Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu.
How do I assign an Activity to my students?
- Once the activity is saved, or if you are selecting an existing activity from Explore Libraries, tap Assign to select the class(es) where you would like to publish the activity.
- If you wish, edit the activity. You can edit the activity name, template, instructions, and teacher notes.
- Select Student Groups and/or Students you would like to assign the activity to.
- Tap Save.
- Select the activity start date and due date.
- Choose any Standards you would like to associate with the assignment.
- Select the folder(s) where you want the activity to be stored.
- Tap Assign Now.
- All assigned activities will appear in the Activities tab in your Seesaw class. Students will tap the Activities tab to see new activities.
How do I assign an Activity to multiple classes?
- Once the activity is saved, or if you are selecting an existing activity from Explore Libraries, tap Assign to select all the classes you'd like to assign the Activity to.
- If you wish, edit the activity. You can edit the activity name, template, instructions, and teacher notes.
- Tap Save.
- Fill in each of the following fields for each class. Each class can be customised: start date and due date, Standards, and Folders.
- Tap Assign Now.
- All assigned activities will appear in the Activities tab in your Seesaw classes. Students will tap the Activities tab to see new activities.
