Descriptive Audio improves video accessibility for students and families with visual impairments by narrating the visual content of lessons or announcements.
- Students and families who are visually impaired or blind may require audio to understand what is being shown in the video.
- Some users simply prefer audio, even if they can see the video, to help with focus and understanding.
How do I Add Descriptive Audio?
- On the Creative Canvas, select your video and click the [...] button.
- Select Accessibility.
- Select Add Audio Description File.
- Click Add Audio Description File.
- Click Upload.
- Click Save.
When playing the video, there is an AD button in the bottom right corner of the video player to turn the feature on or off. The descriptive audio plays alongside the video to provide descriptions.
