Creative Tools:

• Reading Fluency Assessment: Allows teachers to quickly understand student progress on literacy skills by collecting and automatically analyzing student reading samples and providing actionable reporting. Reading Fluency Assessment is available in English and Spanish. Assessments are featured in our Early Literacy curriculum package, and custom passages can be added by customers

  • Short Answer Assessment Questions: Allows teachers to collect short text responses from students, auto-grade student responses, and aggregate response data in reporting.

  • Open Ended Assessment Questions: Allows teachers to collect longer-form open-text responses from students, manually grade responses with a quicker grading workflow, and aggregate response data in reporting.
    • Available for: SI&I Customers
  • Read-with-Me: Support emerging readers or multilingual learners with passages that can be read aloud to them with word-by-word highlighting. This literacy and language acquisition scaffolding tool supports students in making powerful connections between spoken and written words.
    • Available for: SI&I Customers
  • Flexcard: Flexcard allows teachers to offer more customizability and variability in activities to meet the unique needs of students. Flexcards can contain text, images, and voice or a combination on each side, with up to 30 sides. Like a flashcard, but Seesaw-fied!

  Product Updates for 31st July 2024

• Students are now unable to edit, resize, or reposition frames on the Creative Canvas that are created by the teacher.
  • Available for: All S4S and SI&I customers

• Creative Tools: Improvements to colour contrast for text labels and Frames using the solid fill style setting. Now when you select a light coloured solid fill background, we’ll adjust the text to black automatically, instead of using a nearly unreadable white text.
• Creative Tools: Add Voice to Voice and Student Voice Frames: You can now add voice to a Voice or Student Choice Frame. When students record their voice on the Frame, the voice instructions will be replaced with their recording.

• Creative Tools: Add thousands cube into the Shapes tool! 
• Creative Tools: Fix bug where Formative Assessment Drag & Drop dropzones would sometimes disappear after tapping the undo button or exiting Preview as a Student.
• Creative Tools: Improvements to copy/pasting content with images or images with voice recordings or links between activities or across pages.
  
• Fixed bug where the unapproved posts banner would still show after bulk approval.
• Fixed error when posting to journal from Present to Class that impacted activities where the example and template have a different number of pages. Present mode from the Activities Tab should now open the activity template directly and posting to the journal will work correctly. Note: To view the example or instructions from Present to Class mode, teachers can click on View Instructions.
  

• Messages: Fixed edge case issue where toggling between the “reply privately” experience in different announcement threads adds the previous teacher to the current private reply.
• Creative Tools: Fix bug where the contents of the [...] menu would go offscreen on phone-sized screens. 
  

• Updated bad words filter for links in Messages to check for bad words within all parts of a URL.
• Bulk Download Messages (Admins): Support admin bulk downloads for message threads for a recipient or class. 
• Instructional Onboarding Updates: Work on structural improvements to core teacher onboarding flows targeting teachers who haven’t yet started using Seesaw for instruction. 
• Show green check and allow posting to journal from Present to Class mode.
• In-Product Messaging: Support integration with third-party tool (Chameleon) which will support targetable product tours and walkthroughs for new and returning teachers. 
• Show Messages Count in Family Daily Digest Email/Push: For families with “Once per Day” email/push notification setting selected, include the messages count in the Daily Digest email/push instead of sending one email/push for every message.
