Differences between Seesaw features on iOS, Android, and the web

Audience: Seesaw Users

We do our best to provide the same functionality across all the platforms we support. However, the following features are available on some platforms, but not all. 

Not Supported on iOS App

• School and District Administrator role
• Lockdown Mode
  • When in Lockdown Mode, users will not be able to upload to Seesaw. The green tick and draft button will be greyed out.
  • Workaround: Users can exclude certain apps from Lockdown Mode
    • Open the iOS Settings app > Privacy and Security > Lockdown Mode > Configure Web Browsing > Find the Seesaw app and turn off the toggle. 
• Restrictive Settings
  • Workaround: Enable localhost
    • Open the iOS Settings app > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > App Store, Media, Web & Games > Web Content
    • From here, please add the following as approved websites:
      • localhost
      • ​​http://localhost:50002/index.html
      • http://localhost:50002/nativeEntryPoint

Not Supported on Android App

• School and District Administrator role
• Canvas LTI
• Clever Badge login in certain cases (Sign in with Clever here.)

Not Supported on Web Application

• Push notifications
• Safari Browser: No support for Draw+Record screen recording in creative tools.
