How to search for and assign Activities in Libraries

Explore Libraries is an expanding resource of activities tailored to specific year groups and subjects, and includes the Seesaw Library, School & District Library, and Community Library

Browse free ideas that are ready to assign to your pupils today – or adapt any Activity to suit your pupils' needs. 

How do I find an Activity? 
  1. Sign in to your Seesaw teacher account.
  2. Tap Explore Libraries. Select either the Seesaw Library, Community Library, or My School and District Library. 
  3. Browse by standards and curriculum, year group, language, subject area, or trending topics, or search using keywords.
  4. Click on a collection of Activities or individual Activities to see more information, such as pupil-facing instructions, templates, and teacher notes.
  5. Tap the heart Save icon to save the activity to your personal My Library.
  6. Tap My Library to view all the Activities you have saved.
  7. Tap on the three dots [...] button to organise, modify, or remove activities from My Library.
     
How do I make my activity searchable by standard? 
Add standards to the "Teacher Notes" field and then the activity will appear in search results.

How do I search by standard? 
Search for the standard using quotation marks, "CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.3.NBT.A.2" to find any activities that teachers have added with this exact standard.
 
How do I search by language?

Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu.
 

How do I assign an Activity to my students?
  1. Once the activity is saved, or if you are selecting an existing activity from Explore Libraries, tap Assign to select the class(es) where you would like to publish the activity.
  2. If you wish, edit the activity. You can edit the activity name, template, instructions, and teacher notes.
  3. Select Pupil Groups and/or Pupils you would like to assign the activity to.
  4. Tap Save.
  5. Select the activity start date and due date.
  6. Choose any Standards you would like to link to the assignment.
  7. Select the folder(s) where you want the activity to be stored.
  8. Tap Assign Now.
  9. All assigned activities will appear in the Activities tab in your Seesaw class. Pupils will tap the Activities tab to see new activities.
How do I assign an Activity to multiple classes?
  1. Once the activity is saved, or if you are selecting an existing activity from Explore Libraries, tap Assign to select all the classes you'd like to assign the Activity to.
  2. If you wish, edit the activity. You can edit the activity name, template, instructions, and teacher notes.
  3. Tap Save.
  4. Fill in each of the following fields for each class. Each class can be customised:  start date and due date, Standards, and Folders.
  5. Tap Assign Now.
  6. All assigned activities will appear in the Activities tab in your Seesaw classes. Pupils will tap the Activities tab to see new activities.
