What platforms, browsers and operating systems does Seesaw support?

Seesaw works on every device type! The Seesaw Class and Family apps are available on iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire devices. You can also use Seesaw on the web using a computer or Chromebook on Chrome, Firefox, or Edge browser. 

Note: If you are using Seesaw on an iOS or Android tablet or phone, please download the Seesaw Class app or Seesaw Family app. 

What platforms and operating systems does Seesaw support?

Students and Teachers (Class App and Website) 

  • iOS Devices: iOS 11 and newer*. (If you have an iPhone or iPad, please use the Seesaw Class app. Seesaw creative tools are not supported on mobile browsers.) Support for iOS 9 and 10 was discontinued in June 2021. 
  • Android Devices: Lollipop (API 22) and newer. Check which Android OS you are using. (If you have a mobile Android device, please use the Seesaw Class app.)
  • Kindle Fire: Kindle Fire HD devices running Android Lollipop (API 22) and newer. Here's how to find out what Kindle you have.
  • Computers and Chromebooks: 
    • Chrome: Version 86 and newer
    • Firefox: Version 66 or newer  
    • Edge: Version 86 or newer (Draw+Record recording is not supported on older versions of Edge) 
    • Safari: Version 11 and newer (Draw+Record screen recording and webcam video recording is not supported on Safari; please use Chrome, Edge or Firefox instead)
    • Download or upgrade to the latest version of ChromeFirefox, or Edge.

*Support for iOS 9 and 10 has been discontinued as of June 2021. For older devices that cannot upgrade to iOS 11 or newer, the Seesaw Class app can be used with limited features including legacy creative tools (one photo, one video, one drawing, basic labels, basic draw+record, one link) and legacy messaging. Students accessing the Seesaw Class app on iOS 9 will only be able to respond to Activities that were created using the Creative Tools on an iOS 9 device. We are no longer fixing bugs reported on iOS 9 and 10 devices.

Android: Download Seesaw Class app.

Chromebooks: Install the Seesaw website shortcut or sign in on the Seesaw website. Install the Reflect in Seesaw Chrome Extension to add work from any website into Seesaw in Chrome Browser. (The Seesaw Class app is not compatible with Chromebooks at this time.)

Computers:
Sign in on Seesaw Website. Install the Reflect in Seesaw Chrome Extension to add work from any website into Seesaw in Chrome Browser.
