If a connected parent or family member wishes to receive SMS notifications about updates in their child's journal, SMS notifications can be enabled for customers with US, US territory, and Canadian mobile phone numbers.
Seesaw does not support SMS notifications outside the US and Canada.
Please note: if a family member has push notifications enabled, Seesaw will not also send them SMS notifications.
Uses of SMS in Seesaw
- Family invitations can be sent via SMS. Families still require an email address to sign up for Seesaw.
- If a family member has enabled SMS notifications, they will receive one daily digest SMS per day if there are any posts or comments in the journal.
- If a family member has enabled SMS notifications, they will receive one SMS for every message received. The SMS for Messages does not include the content of the message, so they will still need to check Seesaw for the message.
