Translation of the application in French

We would like the platforms (class and family) to be translated into French so Quebec teachers in Canada will be allowed to use Seesaw application in accordance with the new law of the Office québécoise de la langue française.

Thank you for this feedback! Our team is currently looking into this issue and we hope that schools in Quebec will be able to continue to use Seesaw in the future.

  • Some schools did not allow seesaw for this reason, but it is now possible that this will extend to all schools, even those that have a Seesaw School membership, this law is new and Quebec is applying it everywhere. It would be dramatic for me and the 11 other classes in my school!

  • It will be forbiden to use this so useful platform because of the law 101 and parents complaining about the platform being only in English.

  • YES!  We need a french version!  Because of the protection of french in Quebec, the fact that Seesaw is only in english and all the emails to parents too, it's against that law.  All the communication with parents have to be in french. I've been using Seesaw for 5 years and been an Ambassador for 4 years giving PD's, I know that you've had a lot of features in Seesaw and the possibility of translation in it is amazing!  But, for that law, it's not enough.  There is a lot of french teachers using Seesaw, some schools will have to cancel their subscription to Seesaw for Schools, some teachers, like me, invested time and their own money to use Seesaw and it will be all for nothing at the end if there is no possibility to use it in french.  So, please take that request in consideration!

  • Please!  It will be so great to have SEESAW in french!!!!!

I use it this year and my students (kindergarden) are able to do it by themself.  The parents love it!

But some parents dont like that it is just in english.  So they go to the board of the school to tell them to change.  But notihing is go great in french.

  • I was going to migrate from ClassDojo to Seesaw to have access to awesome content. Unfortunately with Seesaw being only on English, I have to stay with something that doesn't meet all my needs in order to respect the best practice guidelines of my employer relating to the French language protection laws...

  • Nothing can replace Seesaw who meets so many of my learning needs. Without Seesaw, a class is significantly less dynamic. Please consider our request.

  • I've been using Seesaw for the last 3 years and I love it.  It has been very interesting to use all the tools with my grade 2 students.  My students loved using Seesaw in the classroom and at home.  Please do what ever it is necessary to help Quebec francophone teachers to use Seesaw and respect Quebec law.

  • Yes please!  translate this app so that the interface is in French.  The french school boards across Canada which includes a lot of teachers could use it then.  In Nova Scotia french school board teachers would love to be allowed to use this amazing app and are not permitted to do so because it isn't available in French.

    Thanks
