Turn family messaging off at set times (weekends)

Please could we have the ability to turn family messaging/replies off at certain times. e.g. Set it on during school hours and off at weekends. This way my teachers won't be receiving messages during their time not in school if they don't want to.

Thanks!

  • I was going to write a similar request. I turn notifications off but then sometimes forget to turn back on. Wish we could plan this and maybe there could be an automated response at the weekend like 'Mrs P is out of school and this message may not be responded to until later'. I know Class Do Jo do this as my son's school use this platform.

  • I was also going to write a similar request Yes this is absolutely needed. We are happy with the messaging app and want to be able to send and receive messages but it has become a massive issue across our school with parents messaging at all hours of the day and night with their requests. We are too accessible to our parents. It is very time consuming to individually 'not allow replies' to each parent at the end of every day! Please please please please help!

I also like the idea that Helen above has suggested to include an automated response.

  • I also agree. I find it frustrating to see the notifications late at night but if I swipe them away I often forget. The ability to allocate time frames where notifications are pushed through would be FANTASTIC!

  • It would be really useful to set 'quiet times' when no notifications come through for teachers.  eg 5pm-8am weekdays and all weekends.  Really important for staff wellbeing
