Direct messaging with individual students

I would love it if I could send a message to just one student at a time instead of all of them.  I would also love it if they could message me with questions.  Right now only parents can message me and sometimes they are not home when the student needs help.

  • Yes!  This feature is a must!!! Most primary students do not use email, and when teaching virtually it is so hard not to be able to send a message to an individual student to follow-up on work or ask/answer questions.  Very frustrating!  Please add this feature!

  • This would be awesome! It would also be nice to have a voice record button for the little ones that have a hard time reading the comment.

  • This would be a really helpful feature that so many of us have been looking for!  The voice record feature would also be a huge benefit with younger students!

  • Why on Earth has this not been an upgrade yet?  I can message parents, but I can't message my students.  Our state requires 2 two way communications per week per student when we are not face to face in order to "count" for our attendance days.  With cell phones that parents take to work there is often no way to contact a child to make that communication.

This feature would also be helpful when you are grading at night and want to point something out to a student such as a missed activity or a redo you want them to complete.

  • I would love to be able to message students individually. I have two age groups, in three classes. (I do like my class division of my 4 year-olds into two classes because they are in two different classes). I would also like if I could custom select families & students to message, or even message ALL my classes and students at one time. I also still need the option to download communication logs/transcripts.
