Disable the ability of students to alter their names or student icons

It would be really helpful if students did not have the ability to alter their names or icons. In a multi-grade classroom, adding a number to the child's name to represent the grade is essential. Furthermore the use of icons to represent class groups is important for differentiation according to ability.

It would be extremely helpful if students could not muck about with these settings.

  • Yes, anyone who understands kids knows that some of them will eventually abuse such a feature.

  • Sorry, that wasn't terribly clear.  I mean they abuse the ability to edit things that they don't actually need to change such as their name or an icon in the name of 'personalization.'

  • Please disable this option. Kiddos in Distance Learning were making their screen names "Baby Yoda" and taking selfies for their icons.

  • Please can you bring this feature in- my students are changing their names to inappropriate things or so that there are multiple people in the same class with the same name. As the school administrator, I spend ages looking up the students number on our system and changing the names back.

  • Yes, as soon as one child does it, then all the rest want to copy.

Teachers should, at least, have the option to turn this off.  It can't possibly be difficult feature to add.
