Not to be sent to student's journal after editing their work in 'unapproved posts'

I teach K-12, and especially with my older students, I use the 'edit work' option a lot to correct their work. It makes it extremely time-consuming when I get sent to the student's journal after each time. Would be much better to be sent back to the place I was originally viewing their work - usually in the 'work to be approved' section.

This was a massive bug bear for both me and a lot of my fellow secondary teachers during online learning. Fingers crossed it can get fixed soon!

  • Yes, yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!!! This is such a time suck for me. I love to be able to go through and comment on specific parts of my students' work or circle problems so they can easily spot them, but it takes SOOOO long to go in and edit, save, and then have to find my way back to where I left off so that I can continue with my correcting. Please, please, please fix this!!!!!!

  • Completely! I teach EAL and have got upwards of 150 students. The extra clicks of having to get back to where I was meant marking took forever!

  • I agree. It takes a lot of extra steps and time to get back to where I was to continue grading.

  • Yes, SeeSaw needs and entire "correcting" suite or area that teachers can use to review, comment on, and approve student work that is FAST.  We all waste a lot of time now navigating back to the particular assignment we were working on.  Right now I'm reviewing all the suggestions to see how many people want this feature before I make a suggested feature post that is redundant.

  • @Sbeatty After posting this, I found this thread, which has more comments and likes. Maybe add your idea onto there? https://help.seesaw.me/hc/en-us/community/posts/360067349231-Edit-Item-should-not-kick-you-back-to-activity-list

  • YES! This has been such a headache when correcting math tests. It drives me crazy when I have to search for the assignment each time after I want to correct. They need to give teachers the ability to correct right in the review process and then approve it.
