Slide Copying

Please, please add slide copying in to seesaw as a feature! I would love to have the ability to copy slides from my older activities in to new ones, as I am trying to condense the amount of "assignments" that I made in to one journal. We share a lot of our creations as a team as well, but not all of use them in the same order or way. It would be EXTREMELY valuable to have the ability to do this. Please consider!!

  • Hi,

If you publish your 'master' activity to the school's library, individual teachers can then access and copy and edit it in their own personal library space.  If you have created the activity and it is in your personal library you can copy it and use the original as the basis of your new, modified assignment.  I know that may sometimes take more planning and working around, but it's one way to avoid recreating from scratch.  This is how we do this at the moment for the art activities we team up to create but then push out to our individual class groups.  It is also a way for  every teacher in a grade to assign the same activity for consistency but still customize it for their class by doing things like a voice recording of the instructions so that their class hears a consistent, familiar voice.

    I hope this is helpful.

  • Hey! This would be great, but we already have a "base" format that we have made for each day that our parents and families know. It would be so much better if we could copy "slides" from other activities we or others have already made in to our base and assign less things, rather than re-creating things.

  • Yes, please considering allowing the copying of slides from one activity to another activity!

  • My grade level team was just talking about how this would be so useful now that we are distant learning for our young learners.  It would be so much easier to be able to copy slides from other activities and paste into our daily lesson template.  Then the students would be able to just move through the daily slide show and complete the days lessons and activities.  Without ever having to leave the day's lesson by clicking on hyper links.  Sort of like one stop shopping!

  • Hi!  I have been looking for this too.  For example, I found a great read aloud, but it was done on the directions slide.  I would like to add a different video for directions but use the video of the read aloud.  The ability to copy slides would be a huge help.  Or even to copy items from one slide to another.  Please send an announcement if this feature is added.  It would make me so happy!

  • Yes!! One time I created my entire activity on the example. I wish that I could have just copied and pasted each slide on the template for the kids! It wouldn’t let me. Instead I had to recreate it all and just copy individual things one at a time.
