linking seesaw activity IN another seesaw activity

hi there,

I found how to share a student link in another platform.. but we are using a weekly template IN Seesaw. We are posting assignments one day a week for the entire week by using a template. I need to be able to link Seesaw activities within this weekly template for kids.  Is there a way to do this without first sharing the activity separately to the class? We are trying to avoid a long list of activities in student feed by using the template.

thank you

  • It would be helpful if the 'get student link' could be an option directly from the library.

  • I have the same question.  I try the share activity option and get the link but it pulls up this...

  • I am currently trying to do this my school level account.  I think I have the link but I don't know how to check it.

  • I am finding that if I place a Seesaw Activity link in another Activity it will take them out of that activity and not save their work.  Any way to do a student link inside of a "daily lesson page...landing page", and keeping the kids on the page to complete all their work?

  • THe linked activity opens in a new tab. Kids can submit that one when complete. THEN they have to go back to the first activity in the first tab. The original activity is still there. They can continue working there.

I'm trying to avoid having to assign the activity first as it shows up in the feed along with the template.

  • It will open in a new tab on a Chromebook or computer, but on an iPad, which we use it will close that activity out. They would have to hit draft. Go to the link, then go back on the feed to find the “landing page” open it up again and continue. That’s a lot of steps to remember for a primary student.

  • Yes, I would also like to avoid it twice on the activity feed. And it has to be assigned first before you can get the link.

  • Try adding a "sample student" account as an additional "student" in your class.  Then assign the activity to only that "sample student" account and you can get a link from there without having duplicate activities on your assignments.  That seems to work for me....though if anyone knows a more direct way (with less clicking around) please share!
