Video length

I was shocked today to find out Seesaw does not allow a video attachment of longer than 5 minutes! 10 minutes was what I was able to do last year...5 minutes is not nearly long enough to get through a lesson. So disappointed! Please go back to 10 minutes!

  • I agree!  I can hardly get through a story book in the lesson I’m trying to record, never mind the book AND a lesson.  I would really like to have the 10 minutes back!  Please!

  • In the spring I feel that I was even able to upload videos longer than 10 minutes as well to the multimedia instructions and examples section of the activity.

  • I tried posting this question/concern on the Facebook ambassador page and (my post was denied) got a response that said the video length has been 5 minutes for more than a year. That’s not what I remember from spring, but it is what it is. I’ve started uploading my videos to Google drive and putting the link in my Seesaw activity. It works.

  • It was 10 minutes in the Spring and now they changed it to 5 minutes. Why would they do that?

  • It was always 10 min.  Honestly...they should let us have 15 or ideally 20.  Or at least make it an option to upgrade as a school license.

  • You could put your video on Google Drive (or similar) and then upload as a LINK to Seesaw. That way, there's no time limit.

  • Kelley,

Yes that's def an option for 3rd, 4th, 5th grade and older students. But trying to teach that workflow to K4 and K...even 2nd graders would put all the work onto the teacher.  They just need to allow longer videos like it used to be: period.
