Teacher Blog

It would be great if there was a tab for a teacher blog feature. I currently make an extra class just for sharing pictures and updates so that they aren't mixed in with parent messaging, but it would be nice if there was a dedicated spot for it. It would be a place teachers could quickly share photos and updates about what's going on it class, but wouldn't need to be a part of student portfolios or direct messaging. This is the only feature I really miss from when I was required to use Class Dojo.

  • You can! It's the trickiest of tricks, but you can absolutely do that.

    1. Click the + and "add student work."

    2. Add your photos, your class announcement, a video of yourself, or whatever you want to include.

    3. Green check mark

    4. (And this is the kicker) DON'T TAG ANYBODY - NOT EVEN YOUR SAMPLE STUDENT.

    5. Green check mark again, and then publish to blog. It will show up as being posted by you, the teacher.

    Ta-da!! 😁🤩😁

  • Do parents see that item as well if you do this?

  • Once you've published to the blog, yes, parents (and anyone with access to the blog) can see your post.

  • I don't want to publish to the blog. I was referring to if you post an item and don't tag a student... do the parents or kids see it?

  • Oh, I see - thanks for the clarification. If you have toggled on the setting "students can see each other's work," then the kids will see it. I'm relatively sure parents still won't see it, but I haven't tested that theory.
