Assigning more than one grade level to a class

I work in a small school and my class contains 3 year groups; it is a multi-composite which is common in Scotland.  I would like to be able to set the class as multiple grade levels (grades 3-5). This would mean my activities would be over the appropriate range, and I could search for skills over the appropriate range.

  • I also work at a small school in Australia and have this same issue. We have 3 classes which are all multiple grade levels. K-1, 2-4 and 5-7 this year. I would also like to be able to set more than one grade to use the skills feature better as at the moment I have to set the class grades to 'other' and edit all of the skills to be available to all so that they can be seen by the teachers.

  • I work in a small special school in Ireland and some classes have mixed ability and need access to skills over a variety of grades eg grade1&2

It is very difficult to change all the skills (450 + in junior cycle and 600 + in primary curriculum) to other just to accommodate the mixed classes.

It would be much easier to give the option for the class to be linked to more than one grade in order to give access to the skills relating to each grade.

  • This feature got a bump from me for sure. It would be very helpful to let the teacher choose the grade levels associated with a class to support multi-age classrooms, special education situations, and other diverse needs that schools have.

  • I love the skills section but we use progressions (in Australia) and they go across the grades so it would be great to be able to add skills from the year above and below or to at least be able to search for them and then add as needed.  I know I can set the grade to all but this then inundates us with pages and pages of skills which makes it time consuming to navigate.

It would also be great for teachers that have composite or multi level classes as do many in my school to access the skills for all the grades they teach..

  • I use Seesaw for my after school activities and also as part of Academic Enrichment program which covers multiple grade levels.  It would be really helpful to be able to assign more than one grade to a class.

  • We have mixed age classes in our school setting too - it would be very helpful to be able to assign more than one grade to a class and have the option to assign any skill from any year group to an activity.
