Thank you so much for this great feedback! Our Product Team is always working on improving our user experience! While we do not have a timeline on when this update may be added to the product, we are aware that it is a highly requested feature.
Yes to this. On my Android tablet, when I use the image capture tool in an activity, Seesaw distorts the image, and so whereas using the normal camera app, I can take a photo of an A4 piece of paper perfectly, within seesaw I get a distorted viewport which leaves excessive space outside the A4 I'm trying to capture.
(I have reported this issue but I have not heard any feedback)
Ideally this should be fixed by fixing the camera function, but a short term solution would be to be able to crop the image, which would also be useful for other cases.
Yes please! I have students who think adding a photograph and then enlarging it so the majority of it is hidden off the canvas is the answer.... but the activity resizes on my screen to include the entire photograph!
PLEASE! It is wonderful to give children the ability to photograph their thinking, but the next logical step is to CROP images. I need this function, too, as I create activities for them.
I think the crop tool would be very handy for students to be using. As we are virtual learning right now. We were able to send home workbooks that students are working in however needing to send us a completed photo. Students are sending in this photos that would be so nice cropped -- as the floor/table is taking up so much of the photo making it hard to see what they are actually handing in
Yes, please, this is essential feature, which is missing on my Android phone. And do the resize as well - e.g. when you take a picture, it is not perfectly aligned, so it would be great to select area to be cropped and resized, not necessarily in rectangular shape. Now I have to take huge workaround. Take picture on CamScanner app, then resize, then share picture and only then import into SeeSaw. Lots of work with one snap of child's work. And I have to do it for every pupil.
Cropping for teachers to post in student Journals also would be very very helpful! Currently having to crop in alternative platforms then re-uploading the photo takes too much time!

I would love the cropping tool! It's nearly impossible to line something up and not have things/people in the background!
Please add a crop feature for photos!!!
I concur! Crop option please would make viewing pages much more appreciated.

Yes please! We need to be able to Crop!
Yes! This is really needed.
PLEASE give us this. My kindergartener is currently crying because she can't fit a rectangular picture into a square box!
YES PLEASE
This would make so many things easier!
the ability to crop withing Seesaw would be a great time saver.
Made a video: https://youtu.be/NzjBM3ten3M
Would love it if we could just double click to crop (like in Google Slides). IT is so easy!
For mobile devices, maybe have a sub-menu option to avoid falsely starting the crop gesture.
Cropping images in seesaw would be super helpful!
Yes!!! Please make a cropping tool.
PLEASE MAKE A CROPPING TOOL!!!!!
Yes please!
Yes! It's a basic feature! We shouldn't have to use a photo editing app in addition to Seesaw.
Agreed! I can't believe SUCH a basic feature isn't in there already! 😫😫😫
PLEASE make it happen!
Yes... Upgrade with CROP feature please.

Oh yes PLEASE!!!
Giving students to ability to crop once they have taken photos is an absolute must!
Cropping photos would be a good feature.
Making backgrounds disappear on clip art would be good as well.
Cropping for teachers to post in student Journals also would be very very helpful! Currently having to crop in alternative platforms then re-uploading the photo takes too much time!
