Math: Construction of Triangles

Activity: Draw triangles from 3 given measurements, using side lengths or angles. If no triangle can be constructed, explain why.

Tip: Use the drawing tool along with a ruler and protractor to construct your triangle. Use the voice recorder to explain why no triangle can be constructed if it's not possible with the given measurements.

Supports Common Core: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.G.A.2: Draw (freehand, with ruler and protractor, and with technology) geometric shapes with given conditions. Focus on constructing triangles from three measures of angles or sides, noticing when the conditions determine a unique triangle, more than one triangle, or no triangle.
