English Language Arts: Figurative Language in Poetry

Activity: Explore figurative language in poetry. Select a poem and in small groups or as a class, discuss the types of figurative language used in the poem, like personification, simile, metaphor, alliteration, and dialogue.

Take a photo of the poem and using the drawing tool, choose one literary device and circle or underline it. Use the voice recording tool to describe why that literary device is used in the poem and what effect it has on the reader.
