English Language Arts: Persuasive Writing

Activity Idea: Have students write a persuasive essay on a newsworthy topic, for example global warming, marriage equality or immigration reform. Students can use the Note tool or use the Add File tool to import their essay from another the device, Google Drive, or Dropbox. Later, have students provide feedback on another student’s essay by using the comment tool.

Tip: Before letting students comment, discuss what a "good" comment looks like as a class. Check out Common Sense Media's Digital Citizenship Curriculum if you need a starting point.
